| Mr. Winick’s practice
is concentrated in construction law matters, including design
defect-related actions, construction-related personal injury
and construction-related breach of contract matters. Mr. Winick
has successfully represented contractors and their sureties
in multi-million dollar disputes that have required innovative
legal theories and involved complicated facts. The successful
handling of these disputes has required detailed knowledge of
the construction industry and a practical appreciation of clients'
needs.Mr. Winick's construction law practice has included counseling
and litigation matters involving subrogation rights, wrongful
termination, surety obligations, construction delays, design
defects, contract interpretation issues, mechanics' lien rights,
construction defects, bid protests, statute of limitations issues,
causation issues, indemnification claims and bankruptcy. In
addition to both jury and bench trials, Mr. Winick regularly
participates in mediation and other alternative dispute resolution
proceedings. |
